Sacramento up and comers Dark Signal have released a new single and video for their song “Heart Like a Hurricane”, making it the band’s first song to release since 2020. This band is a bit under the radar, but this single should catch everyone’s attention real quickly. This track feels like it’s a nice introduction to this band and just how infectious their melodies can be, but also being backed by groovy yet heavy instrumentals to support the insane vocals.
This band has a unique, yet familiar sound that they’ve developed when it comes to this song. Vibes can remind the listener of bands such as Kingdom of Giants or Dayseeker in a way, having progressive instrumentals over heavenly vocals. The melodies delivered by vocalist and drummer Logan Gameson really are the highlight of this single, leaving you with a chorus to be wandering in your mind for days. This song really shows that Dark Signal are here to make quite the impression upon the scene and that they’re here to stay.
This band really deserves more listeners and more of an audience than they have so far. So if anyone is interested in post-hardcore or hard rock, then Dark Signal could be the band for you.
