Metalcore Act Sindria Premiere New Single “The Chapel” (Track Analysis)
New metalcore outfit Sindria have released their brand new single “The Chapel”, alongside a music video that is premiering now exclusively via CaliberTV’s YouTube Channel.
The band delivers a fresh take on the modern metalcore sound with the new track, invoking the likes of Sleep Token and Dayseeker with emotive and passionate vocals over ambient synths and crushing guitars. “The Chapel” is Sindria’s first release since their 2018 self-titled debut EP, giving listeners a taste of what’s to come on their yet-to-be-announced upcoming new EP.
The band’s frontman, Cicada, stated about the meaning of the song,
“The meaning of ‘The Chapel’ is based on comparing the nurturing of a relationship between two people like building a chapel; the relationship between them being the chapel. The song has underlying tones of betrayal as one person in the relationship has to come to the hard decision to burn down the chapel for the final time in order to do what’s best for the both of them. But I also like to leave the lyrics up for interpretation so the listener can decide what ‘The Chapel’ means to them”
