‘North America 2025 Tour’ Featuring While She Sleeps, Bury Tomorrow, and Vended — Sacramento, CA — 4.18.25

On Friday, April 18th, While She Sleeps and Bury Tomorrow brought their North American tour to Ace of Spades in Sacramento, CA—and they didn’t come alone. With rising heavyweights Vended in the mix, the lineup delivered a full-scale masterclass in modern metalcore. From start to finish, it was all killer, no filler.

Vended started things off on a high note with “Nihilism”. Watching Griffin Taylor perform felt like witnessing a young Corey Taylor in real time. He definitely has that unmistakable bloodline energy, but he’s carving his own lane. Vended‘s raw aggression hits very hard in a live setting, and was an excellent band to warm up the crowd. The six song set list was everything I wanted to hear—including performances of “Ded to Me,” “Am I The Only One,” and set closer “Asylum”.

Bury Tomorrow followed and their set was a reminder of why they’ve remained a staple in the metalcore scene for so long. There is a certain level of tightness and intensity that they bring to the table that commands attention. This being my first Bury Tomorrow live experience, I gained a new level of respect for the British metalcore legends. Their set was polished, heavy, and passionate. The band’s set list included hits like “Abandon Us,” “Earthbound,” “Let Go,” “Villain Arc,” “What If I Burn,” “Choke,” and more.

Then While She Sleeps took the stage and everything exploded. The last time I almost saw this band was on March 13th, 2020—aka the day every event across the country was cancelled due to some thing called COVID-19. With two albums released since then, needless to say that my anticipation for this set specifically was at an all time high. The band kicked things off with a bang with “RAINBOWS” and “LEAVE ME ALONE” before throwing it back to their 2019 track “ANTI-SOCIAL”. Frontman Loz Taylor jumped into the crowd and sung “ANTI-SOCIAL” while fans held him up. Their 13 song set list was a crazy one featuring tracks across their discography. The real peak came during “TO THE FLOWERS,” a cinematic, slow-burning fan-favorite that’s quickly cementing itself as one of their most iconic tracks. Hearing it performed live definitely lived up to its own hype.

If this tour’s coming to your city, do not sleep on it. It is an incredible showcase featuring two of the UK’s greatest metalcore bands of today, as well as a glimpse of tomorrow’s rising stars in the metal genre.
