The night started with Militarie Gun, who brought their introspective yet intense punk energy to the stage. Formed in 2020 as a creative outlet by Ian Shelton when his other band, Regional Justice Center, was on hiatus due to the pandemic, Militarie Gun has quickly gained attention in the hardcore scene with their debut album, ‘Life Under the Gun’. They put on a great, energetic performance that really got the night started.

Next up was Drain, a band known for their high-energy performances. Drain, from Santa Cruz, has built a reputation since forming in 2014 for their chaotic shows and hardcore sound. The crowd was already pumped, but when vocalist Sammy Ciaramitaro jumped into the audience, the energy skyrocketed. He handed the mic to fans, letting them sing along—a classic Drain move that made the entire room feel like part of the act. It was wild, with an intense pit forming as the band fed off the crowd’s energy, creating a nearly unmatched concert experience.

Hip-hop artist Danny Brown added a surprising twist to the hardcore lineup. Known for his unique sound and bold, often introspective lyrics, Brown brought something unexpected to the evening. His performance bridged genres and offered a breather in the otherwise hardcore-dominated show, adding a fresh contrast to the night’s lineup.

Finally, Knocked Loose took the stage, and from the moment they started, it was clear the crowd was ready to go all-in. Known for their intense shows, the Kentucky-based hardcore band has become famous for their brutal sound and energetic performances. At the peak of ‘Everything Is Quiet Now’, they called for a wall of death, and the room erupted into perfectly timed chaos. Knocked Loose left the crowd in pieces, ending their set with “Counting Worms”, “Suffocate”, and “Sit & Mourn”.
This show was everything I love about hardcore. Knocked Loose lived up to every expectation, delivering a performance that left the audience bruised, exhausted, and wanting more. If you’re a fan of heavy music, this was one of those shows that reminds you why you fell in love with the scene in the first place.
