REVIEW: Colorblind ‘Who Sold You This Truth’ EP

Colorblind have just released their latest EP ‘Who Sold You This Truth‘. The record immediately captivates, led by the elegant yet powerful delivery of vocalist Travis Mosley. Their sound feels refreshing and pushing beyond the familiar and reshaping post-hardcore into something uniquely their own: “dreamcore”

The opening track, “Car Crash”, wastes no time pulling listeners in. Catchy lyrics intertwine seamlessly with tightly executed instrumentation, setting the tone for what’s to come.

On the second track, “Needle Eye”, the pace slows, shifting into a more emotional space. The raw vulnerability in Mosley’s vocals truly shines here, leaving a lasting impression.

Track three, “Letdown”, layers pulsing synths over hard-hitting drums and lush harmonies, creating a dynamic backdrop that drives the song forward.

With “Misery Loves Company”, the band leans into a heavier, more aggressive side. Electronic textures fuse with sharp instrumentation, carving out a sound that stands apart from the earlier tracks.

“Neversleep” keeps things fresh, opening with a laid back hip-hop inspired beat before bursting into a chorus that’s both punchy and mesmerizing.

Closing the EP, “God Complex” ties everything together. Abstract guitar melodies, emotionally charged vocals, and driving drums that collide to form a haunting yet powerful finale.

The consistency of artistry and emotion throughout this release showcases Colorblind’s evolving sound delivering a new style that feels both experimental and authentic.
