In celebration of the seminal 2011 album, ‘Wildlife,’ Grand Rapids natives La Dispute were welcomed to Chicago with a sold out show at Thalia Hall. Joining the group were acts Sweet Pill and Pictoria Vark.

The 5-piece performed ‘Wildlife’ from front to back, featuring “Harder Harmonies,” the iconic “King Park,” and closing song “You and I in Unison.” The show did not end with just the one album, an encore featured songs from their sophomore album ‘Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair’ and ‘Rooms of the House,’ as well as the group’s two songs from their 2010 split with Touche Amore, welcoming vocalist Zayna Youssef of Sweet Pill to the stage to perform alongside them.

La Dispute’s reputation and longevity have been once again proven not only by a slew of sold out shows, but in the same crowd energy and enthusiasm as the first ‘Wildlife’ tour in 2012. Vocalist Jordan Dreyer is able to point the mic at the crowd and hear an entire venue sing the words back to him more than 10 years later. The impact of ‘Wildlife’ remains a decade later, and will continue to hold its place amongst the scene and the community it has inspired.

La Dispute’s ‘Wildlife’ celebration continues in North America through the end of October.
