Gallery: ‘MCR Reunion Tour’ Featuring My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, & Surfbort – 10.5.22 – Oakland Arena

Oakland Arena was blessed by the emo kings themselves and we are not ok. My Chemical Romance makes their splash on their North American Reunion Tour and did not disappoint (but how could they). Elder emos came out of retirement as well as the generations to follow.

Taking Back Sunday came as support to our favorites and impressed us with their fiery energy. Surfbort was also present bringing the punk vibes we never knew we needed.

My Chemical Romance’s entrance blasted our eardrums with their latest single “The Foundations Of Decay” and set the arena in to a frenzy with throwback after throwback. “Thank you For The Venom,” “Mama,” and “Boy Division” (just to name a few) had us dancing in our seat without reprieve.

My Chemical Romance sold out this show when tickets first hit the internet back in 2019, and there is no denying why. After being a band for over 20 years, they still rock out like we are still in 2007.
