Three days removed since the release of the band’s two-track EP, ‘BINARY’, New England metalcore five-piece Saving Vice have released a celebratory dual music video for “The Simulation” and “The Spire”
Static and television glitches couldn’t be more appropriate for “The Simulation”. If the volatility technology holds within it isn’t an obvious visual motif to you by the first minute, you’re not paying attention.
Descending into strong feelings of hopelessness and resentment, the video features the band performing while vocalist Chase Papariello hashes out how modernity enables our jarring and parasitic relationship with the world.
“The Spire” switches from glitchy and sporadic to trippy for further descension into dissatisfaction and self-loathing, ruminating in the power of destruction.
Though negative, listeners would find the themes conveyed throughout “The Simulation” // “The Spire” therapeutic and might even feel they ultimately encourage healing.
