Welsh alternative quartet Holding Absence tease the band’s forthcoming album ‘The Greatest Mistake Of My Life’ with the release of their latest single “Afterlife”.

“Afterlife” begins melodic and passionate, ascending into a chorus that bursts with an excitement listeners can only anticipate will translate in tenfold live. Frontman Lucas Woodland‘s vocal delivery is inarguably some of his most intense, and the song’s introspective lyricism demonstrates how Holding Absence continue persevering their mission to explore the greater significance of human emotion.

“We truly believe this song to be one of our best yet, with its pounding chorus and emotive vocals. Just listening to this song is making us itch for the return of live music so we can get out and play it to you all! With this song released, we’re one step closer to releasing our sophomore album ‘The Greatest Mistake Of My Life’ and we can’t wait for you guys to hear it!”

The accompanying music video features an aesthetically pleasing color scheme with a vintage feel and scenes of the band performing the song amidst foliage.

With a catchiness bound to have listeners hitting repeat after the first playthrough, “Afterlife” serves as one of the band’s most anthemic and powerful songs yet.

The band’s sophomore album, ‘The Greatest Mistake Of My Life’ is slated to release April 16, 2021 on Sharptone Records.
