Knocked Loose Unveils New Album ‘You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To” and Lead Single “Blinding Faith”
Kentucky hardcore powerhouse Knocked Loose has set the stage for their latest onslaught with the announcement of their upcoming album, ‘You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To,’ slated for release on May 10th via Pure Noise Records. The band has also dropped a visually striking video for the lead single, “Blinding Faith,” which is available for streaming now.
“Blinding Faith” serves as a blistering introduction to the band’s upcoming album, showcasing Knocked Loose‘s signature sound at its most extreme. From Bryan Garris‘ intense vocals to the relentless tempo changes and frenetic guitar work, the track offers a visceral experience that blurs the lines between hardcore, metalcore, and industrial nu-metal. The lyrics, album title, and music video all carry strong religious undertones, with guitarist Isaac Hale explaining-
“It was just hilarious how many people showed up to church that I knew were rude, horrible, selfish people. They knew that it made them seem like a better person — or if they said the words, it would redeem them of any negative quality just because they showed face.”
The album’s title, ‘You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To,’ stems from Garris‘ fear of flying, with a fellow passenger comforting him during a turbulent flight by saying, “You won’t go before you’re supposed to.” This sentiment of fate and acceptance resonates throughout the album’s 10 tracks, which clock in at a brisk 27 minutes and were produced by Drew “WZRD BLD” Fulk.
According to Hale, the album represents Knocked Loose at their most extreme, stating-
“On this album, we go the fastest we’ve ever gone; we go the scariest we’ve ever gone. We also go the catchiest and the most melodic that we’ve ever gone, and that’s the point. Instead of branching off into a specific direction, we want to encompass ALL directions.”

The announcement follows the conclusion of Knocked Loose‘s successful European/UK tour and heralds their return to North America for a spring headlining tour. The tour, featuring support from Show Me the Body and Loathe, will kick off on April 27th at Sick New World in Las Vegas and will conclude on June 9th in St. Petersburg, Florida.
