Orange county hardcore punk band Stick To Your Guns have announced that they are releasing a 4-song acoustic EP titled ‘The Meaning Remains’, featuring reimagined and stripped down versions of three of the band’s fan-favorite tracks, alongside a cover of A-Ha’s classic “Take On Me“. The EP is available for pre-order and will be released worldwide on February 18th via Pure Noise Records.

The band also shared the reimagined version of their hit song “Amber” from the EP, replacing the melodic post-hardcore sound of the original with laid-back acoustic instrumentals and clean vocals.

This is an EP of some of our most popular STYG songs translated into in a new light, although the setting of these songs may seem slow and somber, the meaning of these songs remains with the same furious passion for which they were intended. They are sung quietly and gently from the same place that they are screamed. For us, fury and peace go hand and hand. They are both tools that we believe are necessary. We hope you enjoy these songs you’ve heard a thousand times – but now in a new way.”

–Jesse Barnett (vocalist)

Mateo Ottie I make loud guitar noises and have unpopular opinions. If it’s underground alternative or progressive metal, I probably like it.
