Queens Of The Stone Age have released their new single, “Where The Goth Girls At?”, the latest preview of their upcoming ninth studio album, ‘Perfecth’.
Set to arrive October 30 via Matador Records, ‘Perfecth’ has previously been previewed by “Insignificant Other” and “Easy Street,” making “Where The Goth Girls At?” the third single from the record.
According to frontman Josh Homme, the song draws inspiration from his teenage years and memories of seeing goth women working at JCPenney while growing up in Palm Desert.
“Watching the goth girls working the counter at JCPenney and giving goth makeovers to the old ladies, that’s when I knew the only place I want to be is where the goth girls at.”
The single arrives alongside a music video co-directed by Christopher Gruse and Tony Wolski, who previously worked with the band on the video for “Easy Street.” The visual also features actor and comedian Steve Agee, dancer and artist Scarlett Kapella and singer and actress Lou Lou Safran.
‘Perfecth’ was produced by Homme and bassist Michael Shuman and follows Queens Of The Stone Age’s 2023 album, ‘In Times New Roman…’.
The band are currently on the road and are scheduled to perform at Aftershock Festival in Sacramento on October 4 before heading overseas for shows across Japan, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand later this year.
