SAVE US have released their new single, “Last Of Me,” alongside an official music video directed by Lorenzo Diego. The track is taken from the trio’s upcoming album, ‘Death To Something’, arriving October 16 via Solid State Records.
Produced by The Plot In You’s Landon Tewers, “Last Of Me” moves between restrained, atmospheric passages and heavier moments while focusing lyrically on escaping a toxic relationship and recognizing the hold it had over you.
“‘Last Of Me’ was an emotional challenge for me. I had so much I wanted to say, but I really pushed to keep it clear and honest without feeling wordy or cheesy.”
— Miguel Owls (vocalist)
Owls says the song ultimately deals with the sense of release that comes with leaving that situation behind and beginning to move forward.
‘Death To Something’ marks another major step for the transatlantic trio of Owls, Chris Biddiscombe and Benji Havercroft, who initially began working together remotely after Biddiscombe discovered one of Owls’ Architects covers on TikTok in 2023.
The band later signed with Solid State Records and traveled to Michigan to record the new album with Tewers. It follows their ‘LUCID’ and ‘EXIST’ EPs.
