Left To Suffer have released their new single, “Unrequited Dread,” the latest preview of their forthcoming album, ‘Unwelcome Guest’, arriving October 9 via Hopeless Records.
The Atlanta heavy outfit’s latest track turns inward, with vocalist Taylor Barber describing “Unrequited Dread” as a reflection of his struggles with his own internal monologue, insecurity and the feeling that the people around him are slowly turning against him.
“‘Unrequited Dread’ is the war I have with my inner monologue, the pit in your stomach, the creeping feeling that everyone hates you and is slowly but surely pulling you into the deepest crevice of your insecurities that you can possibly imagine. I needed to release these thoughts into this song to help my brain not cave into itself.”
— Taylor Barber (vocalist)
The song appears as the ninth track on the 11-song ‘Unwelcome Guest’ and follows previously released material including “Gun In The Duffel Bag,” “STFU” and the album’s title track. The record will also feature Distant vocalist Alan Grnja on “WRONG NUMBER.”
‘Unwelcome Guest’ will mark Left To Suffer’s first full-length release since signing with Hopeless Records, following the band’s 2023 album ‘Feral’.
Left To Suffer are currently on the road as part of Dying Fetus and Sanguisugabogg’s North American tour, with the run continuing through late October.
