Atlanta progressive emo band Tied In Knots have released their new single, “Scarlet Rot,” via Tough Luck Music and Arson Theory Records.
The track serves as the second single from the band’s forthcoming full-length, ‘INSIGHT’, and follows “Tanglewood.” It also marks their first new release since the arrival of their ‘FULL GLOOM’ EP earlier this year.
According to Tied In Knots, “Scarlet Rot” was inspired by a family member’s near-death experience.
“The track is about a family member’s near death experience that was caused by their own negligence.”
Alongside the single, Tied In Knots have released a music video inspired by the upcoming independent horror film Devour, which features “Scarlet Rot” on its soundtrack.
Expected to arrive in mid-October, Devour follows an all-female metal band called The Virginia Bitches who encounter a group of cannibals after being ripped off by a concert promoter. The film’s soundtrack also features music from Upon A Burning Body, Lions At The Gate, Not Enough Space, Berried Alive, LYLVC and more.
“Scarlet Rot” offers another preview of ‘INSIGHT’, with additional details surrounding Tied In Knots’ upcoming album yet to be announced.
