‘The Cult Tour’ Featuring Capstan, Colorblind, and True North — Sacramento, CA — 4.2.25

Capstan brought ‘The Cult Tour’ to Sacramento on April 2nd, packing out Goldfield Midtown for a completely sold-out night with support from Colorblind, True North, and Not Enough Space.

Colorblind was a real standout for me. I’ve seen their name around for years (s/o to our besties in BVTV Music for introducing me to the “Stay” music video), but this set made me fully lock in. Not every opener turns heads, but Colorblind made sure people were paying attention. They had tight chemistry, a solid connection with the crowd, and delivered with the kind of confidence you don’t always see in a support slot. Definitely a band worth keeping an eye on. The nine song set list included performances of “Motionless,” “Stay,” new tracks “Car Crash,” and my personal favorite “Needle Eye.”

Capstan delivered the kind of headlining set that shows exactly why they’ve carved out such a dedicated following. Years of touring and honing their craft paid off. The performance was tight, emotional, and dialed in from top to bottom. I’ve seen them a handful of times over the years, but this set felt like them at their strongest. There was a weight to the performance—like every song had something behind it. The crowd energy only amplified it, with bodies flying and lyrics being shouted right back at them. It felt earned.
