Sleeping With Sirens have revisited their earliest days with a new version of “I’m Coming Home (Big Gulps),” the first song ever written by the band.
Originally recorded in 2009, the track was also featured in the first video uploaded to Sleeping With Sirens’ YouTube channel, with the original performance captured in a single take using a laptop.
Seventeen years later, “Big Gulps” unexpectedly found a new audience after fans resurfaced the track and pushed it to viral attention on TikTok. The renewed interest inspired vocalist Kellin Quinn to return to the studio and properly rerecord the song, marking its first professional studio recording.
“Big Gulps was the very first Sleeping With Sirens song ever written, so it’s pretty amazing to see our fans digging through our old content on YouTube and watching it take off on TikTok. That said, the original recording was literally recorded on a MacBook back in 2009. So, I wanted to get back into the studio and properly rerecord a new acoustic version of the song. Thank you for being such incredible fans for so long and we hope you enjoy this new version of Big Gulps.”
The reprise arrives months after Sleeping With Sirens released their eighth studio album, ‘An Ending In Itself’, via Rise Records. Produced by Will Yip, the record marked the band’s return to a sound drawing heavily from the energy of their earlier material.
Sleeping With Sirens will return to the road next month, beginning with an appearance at Aftershock Festival in Sacramento on October 3 before embarking on a North American headlining run with Rain City Drive and Shyeye. The band’s 2026 schedule will conclude with Latin American dates following their appearance at Vans Warped Tour Orlando on November 14, with a UK and European headlining tour to follow in early 2027.
