Glasgow’s finest Godeater have dropped a gruelling new single “You Are No Exception”, with an equally rage-fuelled music video to match.
This track follows up from their critically acclaimed 2019 debut album, ‘All Flesh Is Grass’, serving fans with a taste of what’s to come for the next phase of this triumphant five-piece.
“You Are No Exception is about national identity. I think no matter your intentions, choosing to address or subscribe only to certain parts of that identity is dangerous. More and more our country feels like it’s on a knife-edge, and in this first song I wanted to address my own feelings on the matter.”

A simplistic but effective music video, in ‘You Are No Exception’ we see each member pounding their heart out into every instrument, with a gritty black and white overlay that gives a dirty, ominous feeling to the whole thing while putting a strong emphasis on the genius lyrical counterpart.
