LINKIN PARK’S MIKE SHINODA REVEALS UNRELEASED SONG WITH CHESTER BENNINGTON EXISTS
Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda has revealed that at least one unreleased song featuring the late Chester Bennington from the One More Light-era exists.
Sharing the news during a Twitch Stream, Shinoda spoke about an unreleased song called “Friendly Fire” that was supposed to be a part of Linkin Park’s 2017 album, One More Light.
“Friendly Fire” was co-written by Jon Green (James Bay, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Linkin Park) and according to Shinoda, “you literally are going to have to wait years to hear that song.”
“There was a song — a ‘One More Light’ song that… we mixed more [songs] than [are present on] the finished album and we mixed a couple other songs just to see if one of them would make the cut or whatever — if we could use it for a b-side and it was ‘Friendly Fire‘.”
