Mayday Parade brought their ‘Three Cheers for 20 Years Tour’ to Nashville, TN for a sold out show at Marathon Music Works on Saturday, April 26th to an eager crowd.

Like Roses opened the night with a cool, emo rock set where it was evident that performing is what they were meant to be doing. Up next was Grayscale, the Philadelphia-based rock band, that set the mood for the rest of the night with lighting that perfectly matched the sound of their band and hype up the crowd (even with a small technical difficulty that the band handled incredibly well and were still able to warm up the crowd for the bands to follow). Then, Microwave followed in the direct support slot with an iconic, trippy set that transported everyone in the room to the 70’s with glowing mushrooms on the stage and a certain ambiance in the air.

And then, it was time for Mayday Parade to take to the stage, a band so iconic to the scene, that they don’t even need an introduction. As soon as the first member of the band stepped out on stage, the room filled with way more than “three cheers.” Fans sang their hearts out to every song on the setlist, and notably, to songs like, “Jersey,” “Oh Well, Oh Well,” and “Jamie All Over” which are only a few of Mayday Parade’s greatest hits. And in true Mayday Parade fashion, the night ended in celebration with confetti falling from the sky that everyone in attendance was eager to collect to have a physical memory of a night that will truly live in infamy.
