Kingdom Of Giants have announced their fifth studio album, ‘Usurper’, set to arrive November 13 via SharpTone Records.
Alongside the announcement, the band have released new single “Reign” and its accompanying music video. The track follows previously released songs “Respawn” and “The Edge Of A Dream,” both of which will appear on the 11-track record.
‘Usurper’ marks Kingdom Of Giants’ first full-length since ‘Passenger’ arrived in 2020. Despite the band’s members being spread across the West Coast, they opted to develop the new record together in person, working across Long Beach, Northern California and Las Vegas. Vocalist Dana Willax also took on production, mixing and mastering duties for the album.
Speaking on the six-year gap between records, Willax said:
“The last five years have been full of highs, lows, wins, losses, and roadblocks but at the end of the day we are just so happy and fortunate to continue making music that we love and to share it with anyone who cares to listen.”
He added that while the record took approximately eight months to complete, “it feels like it’s 15 years in the making.”
Regarding “Reign,” Willax said:
“This song has a couple of my favorite parts from the entire record, the breakdown in particular was very fun to mix and I’m hoping it hits live.”

Kingdom Of Giants will take ‘Usurper’ on the road immediately following its release with a North American headlining tour featuring Deadlands, Holy Wars and Night Rider. The run begins November 14 in Seattle and concludes with a hometown show December 18 at Goldfield Trading Post in Sacramento.
