‘The Common Enemies Tour’ Featuring Spite, Bodysnatcher, thrown, & Mouth For War – Little Rock, AR – 6.15.24

‘The Common Enemies Tour’ was coming to an end with two shows left in the tank, and it was Little Rock’s night to experience a mix of nonstop metalcore and deathcore. The crowd didn’t fill up the venue as much as I thought it would honestly, but that didn’t take away from the experience at all as it left room for massive circle pits all night and loads of close encounters for crowd surfers.

I personally didn’t know anything from Mouth For War beforehand, but I really enjoyed their performance as they gained a fan out of me, and it seemed like the feeling was mutual from the crowd. thrown was actually the band I was most excited about since I missed out on seeing them the last time they were in the country. As I’m sure anyone in the scene has noticed, they had won the algorithm game on pushing their songs everywhere and getting known, and one key notice that stood out was how close their sound was to the studio version of these songs, especially looking back at clips I took from my phone.

Bodysnatcher and Spite paired well together as co-headliners, and both packed a punch for the fans as they continuously hyped the crowd up with no breaks. Bodysnatcher made the barricade security workers put in the effort for their paycheck as the band started the never-ending train of crowd surfing for the rest of the night, and I lost count after a couple songs in. Spite continued this trend, and I had seen them before, but something about this performance scratched my brain. It could’ve been the longer set, but a few songs hit harder than before. I left the show feeling content but tired from the amount of energy everyone in the crowd, including me, let out all night.
